Piano Announcements

Dear Piano Families,
Thank you for your continued support and enjoyment of music lessons! I have a few announcements as our new school year is beginning. First, there will be no lessons from September 3-7 as I will be on vacation, enjoying the end of summer.
The second announcement is that our next recital will be Sunday, October 25 at 6:00 at Mclean Baptist Church. It will be a Halloween themed recital featuring an intergalactic theme and variations, art, and poetry called The Mutterwump Masterpiece. I expect the recital to last 45-60 minutes.
The final announcement is that starting Friday, September 11, I will be able to offer 45 minute lessons! I am very excited about this small change because I feel that most of my students are ready and would really benefit from a slightly longer lesson. With fifteen minutes more, we will have time to focus more on technique and theory - two vital skills that most adults who took piano as a child wish they had! Another great option for the extra fifteen minutes would be combination piano/voice lessons. Please contact me or Music and Arts if you'd like to know my availability for 45 minute lessons.
I am also offering a family discount for multiple children taking lessons with me. If you'd like to take advantage of this discount, please let the store know that you'd like to switch from two half hour lessons to one hour lesson. It's ok to keep your current lesson slots (the hour doesn't have to be consecutive - it just has to be one hour of lessons per week).
Here are the lesson rates for the 2015-2016 school year:
30 minutes: $39.50
45 minutes: $56.28
60 minutes: $71.10
Most of my students have gotten very good at canceling and rescheduling lessons using my website. My site has a new feature which I have just implemented: text message reminders. By default it is turned off, but please let me know if a weekly automated text would help you remember your lesson!
